The Extech digital refractometer allows quick and accurate % Brix or Refractive Index (RI) measurements of dissolved sucrose level in liquids for beverage and food production, determine maturity of fruits and plants, or control the concentration of industrial fluids (such as cutting coolants, hydraulic fluids, and antifreeze) to extend equipment life and prevent corrosion. Fast three second response time, the LCD displays %Brix or RI and Temperature. The RF153 fits in the palm of your hand and it features built-in ATC, single Zero calibration, prism cover, and auto memory storing 10 readings.
The brix range measured is 0 to 53% Brix with a 0.1% Brix resolution.

These are handheld, non-digital, for sucrose, Brix, salinity, etc.
Extech has a unique, Triple Range Sucrose Brix Refractometer (0 – 41%, 42 – 71%, 72 – 90%) general service Brix refractometer with three measurement ranges.

Other refractometers
Refractometers are used in a wide range of applications such as brix, salt (salinity), honey, antifreeze (ethylene and propylene glycol), wine, fruit drinks, sugar content (e.g. before cutting sugar cane), clinical, oil, cutting fluids, brake fluid, battery water, ABS and more. The clinical units measure serum protein (SP), SG (specific gravity) and RI (refractive index). Optical and digital models are available. We also supply specialist gem refractometers.
Within the brix range are numerous scales from 5% to 92%, allowing better precision in a preferred brix range.
