How to choose the right Extech light meter

Are you measuring visible light, or UV?
For standard visible-light measurement, choose from the 401025, 407026, 45170, or LT300. If you need to verify UV sterilisation equipment or measure UVA/UVC irradiance specifically, the SDL470 is the only model in this range built for that purpose.
Do you need to record or export readings?
The 401025 offers a basic analog output for connecting to a chart recorder. The 407026 adds an RS232 PC interface. The SDL470 goes furthest with full SD card datalogging — timestamped readings exported directly in Excel format.
Do you need to measure more than just light?
If your site visits also require humidity, temperature, or air velocity checks, the 45170's 4-in-1 design saves carrying multiple instruments.
What light intensity range do you need to cover?
