This Legionella Industrial testing kit is perfectly designed for water outlets needing repeat testing and includes everything needed to complete 5 tests. It uses our exclusive Hydrosense filter technology, enabling the isolation of bacteria through conventional plumbing connections (compatible with US ½ inch NPT and ¾ inch BPT fittings). The pipe fitting also conveniently connects directly to standard shower hoses.
Ideal for use in higher risk areas with water sample points that require frequent monitoring, including industrial cooling systems, extensive water networks within hotels, healthcare facilities, residential buildings, and commercial premises.
The test detects all Legionella pneumophila serogroups 1-15 and uses our unique filtration step together with the well-established Lateral Flow Immunochromatographic Assay (LFICA) technology (same technology used in Covid-19 and pregnancy tests). In a remarkable innovation, the test is a three-line test which isolates the bacteria and distinctly identifies the presence of serogroup 1 on one test line and serogroups 2-15 on another.
This information enables the user to identify and assess the level of Legionella pneumophila risk depending on which serogroup(s) is present in the sample, supporting both reporting processes and remedial action decision making.
The tests included in the industrial test kit are highly sensitive and can independently detect Legionella pneumophila sg1 and sg2-15 levels of 100 CFU/L (0.1 CFU/ml). The kit also provides action levels at 1,000 CFU/L (1 CFU/ml) and 10,000 CFU/L (10 CFU/ml).
VALIDITY OF THE HYDROSENSE PRO TEST
HIGH SENSITIVITY AND SPECIFICITY:
The Hydrosense PRO Lateral Flow Test Kit successfully detects Legionella pneumophila serogroups 1-15 with high sensitivity and specificity, maintaining a high detection level when combined with the filtration kit provided (100 CFU/ L for a 250 mL sample).
VERSATILE TEST CONDITIONS:
Displays robustness under varying conditions without compromising results.
NO CROSS-REACTIVITY:
Demonstrates no interference from other common waterborne bacteria or non-pneumophila species of Legionella.
TOLERANCE TO WATER CONDITIONS:
Performs reliably even in hard water and high alkalinity conditions.
