pH, conductivity, TDS for aquaculture, hydroponics, aquaponics
Waterproof tester/meter for pH, mV, conductivity, TDS (total dissolved solids) and temperature.
Test kits for hydroponics and aquaponics
Hydroponics test kit
The hydroponics kit tests for pH and three key nutrient factors: nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. It allows the hydroponic hobbyist to maintain proper nutrient balance and to achieve optimum growing conditions in soil-less cultures. Reagents sufficient for 50 tests per factor and complete labware are foam-mounted in a sturdy carrying case. Instructions and 75-page hydroponics handbook are supplied.

Aquaponics water quality management equipment options
In an aquaponic setting, total nitrate is added to the list of general water chemistry parameters that are monitored most frequently in aquaculture applications. Plants in these systems are often limited in iron, calcium and potassium.
So parameters to measure:
- Water temperature (ºF or ºC) (meter)
- Dissolved oxygen (D.O.) (meter)
- pH (meter, test strip)
- Total Ammonia-Nitrogen or TAN (test strip, kits)
- Total Nitrite
- Total Nitrate
- Potassium
- Calcium
- Iron
The range of testing and meter options ranges from test strips to professional meters.
Oxygen (dissolved oxygen (DO)) is best measure with an oxygen meter. There are however chemical methods for reading DO.
Selected kits with a Range/sensitivity of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 1.0 ppm NO3–-N; 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 1.0 ppm PO43- are suitable for aquaponics. The same applies to the ammonia and nitrite levels that are suited to aquaculture applications.

Multi-meter water monitor
Multiparameter meter for water quality testing and monotoring. Measures siz water quality parameters – pH, °C, ORP (mV), EC (uS), CF and TDS (ppm). The 6 in 1 water monitor is a user friendly monitor which can be used in aquariums, pools and for hydroponic purposes. The unit can be run via a re-chargeable battery or by power supply. (If run via 220v ensure to ground the reservoir). The Screen is back-lit making it easy to read.
Accessories:
- Wall brackets/suckers/velcro for easy installation
- one small screwdriver
Carbon dioxide control
Modern farming systems often require carbon dioxide (CO2) supplementation. We supply flowmeter regulators and solenoid valves for this application. These commect to the CO2 cylinder and allow flow control between 1 and 25 lpm. Suitable for growrooms, green houses, aquariums, algae production and hydroponics.
