100ml HOCL (hypochlorous acid 5% concentrate) is added to 20 or 25 liters of tap water to make 200ppm working solution with a 15 day shelf-life once diluted. It id registered with the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA). Hypochlorous acid (only ph 6) eliminates pathogens, including covid-19 through fogging and misting. Suitable for ULV cold foggers and pressure sprayers. The pack of 5 x 100ml makes 100 to 125 liters working solution. Hypochlorous acid, as an antimicrobial agent in an aqueous solution, is approved for use in the production and preparation of whole or cut meat and poultry; processed and preformed meat and poultry; fish and seafood; fruits and vegetables; and shell eggs (USA FDA (Food and Drug administration)). Allowed in organic production handling. HOCL is used in some in processing facilities at up to 60 ppm in process water or ice which comes into contact with food. The single most important feature of hypochlorous acid is that it is unusually efficient in eliminating viruses. Hypochlorous acid can kill norovirus in less than one minute at 50 ppm. For large-scale disinfection, HOCl can be dispensed using a fogger without any chemical-related PPE for workers. HOCl is intrinsically safe, as it is non-irritant and the human body produces the same molecule for self-defense. Aerosols are defined as particles less than 50 micrometers in diameter. The aerosol mists should be ideally less than 20 microns in size to maximally disinfect an area. It is important to note that fog processing can alter the physical and chemical properties of the disinfectant making it more dilute and basic. The available free chlorine (AFC) concentration can be reduced by approximately 70% and the pH can increase by about 1.3. To make a HOCL vapor as effective as a solution containing 100 ppm of HOCl, the solution would need to be concentrated. HOCL can be used with a high predictability for disinfecting against the CoVID-19 virus (Reference: J Oral Maxillofac Surg. 2020 Jun 25 doi: 10.1016/j.joms.2020.06.029 [Epub ahead of print] & 2020, https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32653307/).

Anolyte Neutral “Eco-Lyte”

Unique technology and product

The technology for the production of Eco-Lyte NTL is very different from typically known chlorine derived aqueous HoCl solutions that are characterised by PH extremes, toxicity, high levels of spectator cations and chemical instability.

Anolyte Neutral, a powerful disinfectant. Highly efficient compared to chemical equivalents whilst still maintaining neutral pH for compatibility with surfaces, equipment, water & skin, it is 100% environmentally friendly, non-toxic to humans and can eliminate all forms of pathogens and other biological contaminants. This versatile fluid can be dosed into the water supply for sterilisation and biofilm removal, is safe to use in food production, decontamination, and sanitising. It can be used in liquid, spray, mist, or ice, and once disposed of, reverts to its original composition {salt and water}. Eco-Lyte leaves no chemical residue on surfaces or produce and can be use rinse free.

The power of HoCl & the related mixed oxidants are well known medically and are used in hospitals, food & beverage processors and progressive agriculture. Eco-Lyte proudly contains NO additives, stabilisers, alcohol, ammonia, bleach, surfactants, fragrances, thickeners or dyes. The easy to use environmentally friendly solution  is anti-microbial, viricidal, sporicidal and antifungal. Whilst being lethal to pathogens it is safe to use around food, people and animals. After performing the task at hand it reverts back to its basic components of salt and water once exposed to the environment ensuring no toxic or chemical residues remain.

Eco-Lyte products are tried & trusted by large food & beverage producers, agriculture processors and a host of water treatment, medical and healthcare service providers to sterilise, remove biolfim and control spoilage organisms and destroy pathogenic virus’s and Bacteria.

Eco-Lyte NTL destroys pathogens by direct oxidation, osmotic pressure differential rupturing, & destruction of cell wall & viral envelope proteins. Kill rates are rapid, rinse free and without chemical residue.

Product stability is put at 6 months from production to use, but does last far longer.

How to use

Spray and wipe

Spray and let air dry

Immerse , fog or soak

With a multitude of ways to use Eco-Lyte to sanitise or decontaminate please remember the following: You cannot sterilise if it is not already physically clean so remove visible soiling (organic matter, solid wastes) from the surface or skin and apply Eco-Lyte freely allowing increased contact time if diluted (>10%=5min+), alternatively use as is and benefit from disinfection in under 1min. Until research offers an alternative concentration, for covid-19 disinfection, we currently advise no more than a 1:1 dilution.

Covid- 19 (coronavirus)

With the impact of COVID-19* being felt around the world, please use the following information to better understand the virus behind the pandemic. Understanding the virus is necessary in learning how combat it along with the correct application of chemistry and changes in process & behaviour. “EPA and the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recognize that certain microorganisms can be ranked with respect to their tolerance to chemical disinfectants. The Spaulding Classification model, used by CDC, tiers microorganisms in accordance with the level of resistance to being killed (inactivation) by typical disinfectant products. With this approach, viruses are divided into three viral subgroups (small non-enveloped, large non- enveloped, and enveloped) based on their relative resistance to inactivation.” The SARS-Cov-2 virus classifies as the “easiest” to kill being an enveloped virus. A variety of chemical disinfectants combat this but few have the safety and compatibility in comparison with Eco-Lyte. The HoCl chemistry in Eco-Lyte NTL has been proven highly efficient against previous strains of Corona as well as more challenging virus’s such as Norovirus, HIV, TB, Avian influenza etc
