Water Distillation
Ecotao supplies glass and stainless steel waterstills. Distilled water will remove nearly all of the organic acids and other big molecules easily, but the “salt” content
never actually gets all the way to zero (though it comes close enough for most work). For a general discussion, see, “What is the difference between distilled water and deionized water (DI water)?” Distilled water is produced by a process of distillation and has an electrical conductivity of not more than 11 µS/cm and total dissolved solids of less than 10 mg/litre.
Water can be further purified through reverse osmosis, so that there are 3 laboratory grades of water above the purity of distilled water.
The ISO based its specification on ISO 3696:1987, and specifies three grades of water, Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3, where Grade 1 is the most pure
(see below).

The American ASTM system has one, even higher grade of water purity. The ASTM uses D1193-06 and has four grades of water (see table below), Type I, Type II, Type III, Type IV. Should you require these high purity type waters, please contact us.
